The store's security guards helped Colorado Springs police catch a man who was suspected of burglary and theft Thursday.
Zachary Hoffman, 34, faces multiple crimes related to an alleged break-in on Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to a break-in at a house on East Kiowa Street shortly after 4:00 p.m. The victim reported that when he got home he found the house ransacked and missing credit cards and belongings worth thousands of dollars.
While police were still at home, the victim was told that one of his credit cards was being used in a store, the report said. A police officer in the store discovered Hoffman with the help of security.
Hoffman, who reportedly has extensive arrest warrants and was wanted on multiple arrest warrants, attempted to escape but was caught and arrested by security guards. He is being held on bail of $ 10,000, according to court records.
Police found the victim's credit cards in the store, but have not yet found the other stolen property, they said.
